The girls in Närpes are on their way to flagghalning (flag loweing).
Soon the whole village was gathered and ready to sing "Du gamla, du fria", Sweden's national anthem.
After dinner we had a fun kvällsprogram (evening program) where we got to paint our namnbrickor (nametags), play some language games and learn about how to visit the bank, butik (store), strand (beach), and how to visit the nurse if we’re not feeling well. We ended the evening with a brasa (bonfire) by the lake. All of the villagers met the members of their Sjölunden familjer (families) and we sang a song together. God natt Sjölunden!
